Inspired by the synergy of spontaneous musical dialogues, DUET embodies the act of conversing, through passing balls from one to another. The two-sided instrument cultivates a reciprocal relationship between the two players. Music becomes a dialogue. One player calls, the other responds. And, so on.

Marked by a steel band, the instrument leverages on colour sensors to translate balls into musical notes. Its pitch is mapped to its colour, and its length is mapped to the length of its travel.
